The commoditization of land, resources, assets and people has been the focus of the Western Empire we can so clearly see today; this is a product of the Great Enlightenment era. A paradigm of Materialism and Physicalism that is discredited by the true nature of Reality.
Traditionally, at least from the Eastern Philosophical point of view, Enlightenment was about transcending material reality. The Western version was about Owning it, Controlling it; and subordinating Nature so that the very few could hold Mastery over it. The final phase of Commoditization is not economic -- it's cognitive. The system treats people as property, even their names.
A good question to be asked is:
Can an existing system be corrected to serve those who make it function? Or, are all people who participate in it, inherently possessed by it and therefore subject to it? To refine this into three separate possibilities:
Can we fix it?
** So far, the system has proven to be unfixable, remediation is damn near impossible; it has developed an adaptive response to prevent it's own systemic corruption from being corrected to accommodate those who make it's existence possible. Elections are rigged, Lawfare rules.
Can we live parallel to it?
** Living parallel to this existing system has also proved to be hazardous to Autonomous and self determining Life; this is due to Humanity being reduced to economic and legalistic frameworks where progress means dominion rather than balance with natural community.
Can we Abolish it?
** This system has proven that it cannot even stop doing something everyone recognizes as fatal to it's own existence; with immigration, people are punished for following the rules; with free speech, people are censored or banned. When it comes to financing a Genocide, the system doubles down, the media tries to keep people in a state of cognitive dissonance.
The only option left is to Abolish the system, either through Nullification or outright Resistance; in order to replace it with something a lot less Parasitic.
I took a look at your essay and you are hitting the bullseye 100%! It's good to know there ever more people out there taking a close look at the system with scrutiny.
I have done a lot of writing on the concept of Individual Sovereignty; how essential it really is and how the system so desperately seeks to hide it from everyone, by trying to teach everyone from childhood, that they don't have it.

If you're wondering about lawfare, I explain here in my essay:
